Windy Saturday

After some time at home writing and cooking, I decided that I needed a walk, but I waited until the afternoon to leave my apartment. I already knew that it was windy, but I didn’t really comprehend how the combination of wind, temperature, and sunlight would impact me. In the sun, the wind was quite nice, but in the shade, the breeze became a bit more… cutting. Originally, I had hoped to find a specific restaurant, but my timing was off:

Saturday + siesta = Nobody opens for dinner until 8:00 or later.

Just as well, because by the time I wandered around the city took some photos, and enjoyed the dwindling afternoon light, I was totally beat. Back home, my leftovers were delicious, and did not require me to get cold outside again.

My walk took me past an enormous park near my apartment, then over the Túria riverbed, into the city center, and back out again. I intentionally took the “long way home,” since I was really enjoying the sights.
