I have to admit it… the Spanish idea of siesta is pretty awesome. After Montmartre, both Ron and I were tired, and decided to get some sleep before heading out on an evening walk that was filled with the sights of the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysee. In addition to tourists, there were several displays for D-Day celebrations, including an incredibly large French flag and a memorial floral arrangement in the center of the imposing arches.
Since we were on foot, we were also able to swing by Moulin Rouge, take a few pictures of the amazing sculpture in Place de Clichy, and some other sights along the way. To be honest, I didn’t take that many pictures, as the walk and the sheer pleasure of hanging out with my friend took priority.
After the Champs Elysee, we walked to the Eiffel Tower, which is always imposing. The number of people at the tower was staggering, but I did take a few pictures. The lunch we had was also excellent, and worthy of a few pictures. Enjoy!
Ah….Paris! An all time favorite city! J’espère que vous avez un merveilleux séjour
Thanks, Sandy, I did have a wonderful trip, and was sad to see the time go by so quickly. It was such a treat to see my friend and visit a city that I love!
